Boating
March 6th 2022 - I purchased my first boat. (not including the one I bought in the early 2000's with a coworker to flip)
1995 SeaDoo Speedster
My wife, son and I have gone out on other peoples boats and always loved it. So we decided to see if we are boating people. I bought this little beater for $3,000.00 and dragged it home. My friend Eric and I started tearing into it and did a resto-mod to it. I figure that if I put another $2,000.00 into it and decide that we are not boaters, I won't lose much money on it. I may even make a buck or two. If we do decide that we are boaters, then I can either keep it or sell it and use the money as a down payment on something bigger. Well, after replacing everything on that damn boat, I got tired of the problems that come with a 28 year old boat. I got it running 100% and quickly dumped it for $4000. I lost about $1000, however, I learned a LOT about jet boats and how to repair them. More importantly, I learned that we are not boat people.
